The Old Weighbridge
Welcoming lorries to Axminster Carpets and sending them out around the world for over a centuary the old weighbridge was central to operations at Axminster Carpets. When Chris Poulier first set eyes on the building it was no more than a shell as modernisation and consolidation of the factory had left it empty for more than a decade.
A dream in the making
Having spent a career working in restaurants around the country, Chris Poulier took on the property as little more than a shell in 2018. His vision was to run his own Indian Restaurant in Axminster, his home town bringing into practice the his own ideas and recipes.
Heart of the Community
Working with the team at Axminster Carpets Property Co the once derelect building was sensitively restored and adapted to become a popular and much loved restaurant and takeaway.
The success story is much more thant a simple restoration, it was the flagship that brought Woodmead Road back into the centre of the community.
